Tioga is named for one of Lee and David’s favorite places, Tioga Pass in Yosemite National Park. She joins Brew from the Magic Litter and will be doing obedience and field.
Tioga begins and ends each day with a thumping tail and broad smile, and she is never happier than when her pack is all together around her. She doesn’t believe in ‘personal space’, and thinks a full-body hug (standing or reclining) is THE BEST THING, but only with her close family. Much to my delight, she has even convinced older sister Brew – the ultimate skeptic – that they are best friends. Sometimes I think she is the glue binding us all together.
Ti hasn’t met a game she doesn’t love, and she is brimming over with the three E’s: energy, enthusiasm and excitement. She applies them to Obedience and Field in equal measure. She really wants to please me, forgives my mistakes and is always ready to try again when we are working on a new skill. Tioga is a bit of a “do first, think later” sort of girl, so we are working on control and precision. Thanks to Ti, I am learning to handle a fast dog slowly. What a thrill!
