Maggie, McDuff and Astro at the 2008 National Golden Retriever Specialty.

Astro is a good example of a good-looking, well-structured performance dog. He earned four titles in 2000 with a High in Trial and national rankings among golden agility dogs in the novice classes. He started 2001 by finishing his ASCA Companion Dog degree with a score of 197 and a 3rd place! In agility, he earned his MXJ in May 2003, his MX in April 2005 and is collecting MACH points and QQs. He finished his UD in January 2006 and started collecting UDX and OTCH points that very day. Finally, although he started field work very late in life, Astro finished his JH at eight years old.

Maggie lost Astro after a struggle with Cushings disease. In the end, it was a perforated gall bladder and likley lymphoma that took him from us.
